A blast freezer is the piece that turns fresh gelato, ice cream and cooked food into shelf-stable stock without the ice crystals a domestic freezer leaves behind. This unit drives product temperature down to -45°C (-49°F) so water freezes in tiny crystals — the difference between a smooth scoop and a grainy one, and between safe holding and spoilage. It suits gelaterias, restaurants, farm shops and food producers that batch-freeze on a schedule.
The cabinet is built from 304/201 stainless steel and runs on air cooling with a Tecumseh compressor and R404a refrigerant. Trays measure 400×600×25 mm — standard GN-friendly pans — and the family scales from a 5-tray, 150 L undercounter unit up to a 30-tray, 1000 L floor cabinet, so you can match throughput to output.

Frequently asked questions
What temperature does this blast freezer reach?
The standard models pull product down to -45°C (-49°F), fast enough to form the small ice crystals that keep gelato smooth and cooked food intact. Low-temperature versions in the range reach toward -80°C for deeper freezing. Contact us to confirm which model fits your process.
How many trays and how much can it hold?
The base unit takes 5 trays at 150 L. The family scales up through 10, 15, 22 and 30 trays, reaching 1000 L on the largest cabinet. All models use 400×600×25 mm pans.
Is a blast freezer different from a normal freezer?
Yes. A storage freezer holds product that is already frozen, around -18°C. A blast freezer drives fresh or cooked product through the freezing point quickly, so ice crystals stay tiny — that protects texture in gelato and prevents the watery, mushy result of slow freezing.
What cooling system and refrigerant does it use?
It uses air cooling with a Tecumseh compressor and R404a refrigerant. The cabinet is built from 304/201 stainless steel and is CCC certified.
Can you print our logo on the unit?
Yes. OEM service is available, including logo printing. Contact us to confirm lead time and any design requirements.
What warranty comes with the freezer?
Backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty, covering the core components including the compressor.
Is shipping included in the price?
For in-stock items — anything you can add to the cart — shipping is included in the listed price. For made-to-order items, delivery is either free (marked on the product page) or calculated when you place your order, based on destination and volume.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock items typically arrive within one to three weeks. Made-to-order items take three to six weeks, since we work directly with manufacturers and need time for production and logistics before shipping. Your assigned manager confirms a more precise estimate once your order is placed. Please note we can't be responsible for delays caused by customs clearance in the destination country.
Are import duties and taxes included?
In most cases, yes — we aim to ship Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), which means duties and import taxes are handled so you don't face extra charges on delivery. In rare cases we may ship Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), where you would settle import charges directly with the carrier — but only when agreed with you in advance.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. Most of our equipment comes with a one-to-two-year manufacturer's warranty covering factory defects and technical faults under normal use; the specific term is stated on each product page. If a defect appears, we arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Exchange & Return Policy, and our team guides you through the claim step by step.
