A welded modular unit keeps the container footprint, about 14.9 m² for 20 ft and 29.7 m² for 40 ft, and joins end to end or side by side, which suits a row of separate rooms.
The shell comes insulated with sandwich panels (EPS, PU or rock wool), double-glazed windows and doors, and an electrical system wired to its own distribution box. The expandable model also has water plumbing and bathroom fittings in place. Air conditioning and a full kitchen fit-out can be added to the same order.
The factory builds a unit in 15 to 50 days depending on size and fit-out, then it ships by sea. The pad and the service connections have to be ready on site before it lands; an expandable unit takes about four hours to unfold and fix once it is there.
